Each year, the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) of New York hosts an event called Color Invasion. Planned by a talented group of architects and designers, the event typically boasts a creative theme and extravagant interior decor. The theme for the event in 2017 was “Deep Blue Sea.” As a sponsor, Arenson is allotted a sponsor table to place marketing material. Instead of doing a standard table display, we wanted to go a different route and integrate one of our furniture products into the theme.

We chose the Phonebooth to show our support for this manufacturer while also advertising our company as the main distributor. The goal was to integrate the Phonebooth into the theme to create a seamless aesthetic.

Phonebooth above selected for event partnership
After collaborating on the design concept with the President of the company as well as my team, I researched different dive bell and submarine designs.

Using Adobe Photoshop and a few purchased stock images, I created the designs below. I worked with a trusted printer partner for the production and installation of the decal. In addition to the exterior decals, I developed signage inside that imitated a control panel with both Arenson’s name as well as our partner Framery’s. We encouraged users to take photos in the booth and post with an event hashtag.
